My money says Flava Flav and Lil’ Wayne will soon be hip-hopping over to Paul Wall’s Grill shop for the newest craze in grills! Paul Wall, for those of you not so “hip” (like me!) is one of the nation’s premier purveyors of those rows of gold teeth, called grills, which have become so popular among the hip-hop and rap crowds.

Well, let me correct one little statement above…those “new” grills aren’t actually so new!

National Geographic recently reported that, in fact, early Native Americans sported GEM STUDDED tooth bling as far back as 2500 years ago! (That’s way before rap meant something more than a person who talks too much. Oh Wait! Isn’t that still what it means?)

Alien Cells Found In Rainwater?

Two scientists assert that fluorescent matter found in rain water in India may be cells of extraterrestrial origin.

Although unlike any cells presently known to science, studies by Godfrey Louis, head of the physics department at Cochin University of Science and Technology in India and Santhosh Kumar of Mahatma Gandhi University in India show that these "cells" are capable of replication as are other known types of cells, and are thus, most likely, a type of biological organism.

Nation's Youth Adopting Hussein As Middle Name in Support of Obama

For months now, Obama's roots have been the source of slanderous commentary by right-wing propagandists, and his middle name--Hussein--reported to reveal his Middle Eastern heritage. (In fact, Hussein is the family name of the Kenyan father he barely knew, who was born a Muslim but became an atheist in later years.) Still, the republicans have gotten a lot of mileage from reports that Obama is actually a closeted Muslim. (A patently false accusation but one which, nevertheless, Snopes.com had cause to refute online because of its pervasive influence on the web.)

Last fall, a movement began with the youngest voters in our land. All over the nation, people--mostly the young-- are reacting to the Republican slandering of Barak Obama's heritage by adopting his middle name.

Jaime Hussein Alvarez. Kelly Hussein Crowley. Sarah Beth Hussein Frumkin.
Professor Mark Hussein Elrod, a professor at Harding University in AK, is heading a movement for students and friends to "declair their Husseinhood" on Facebook on August 4th, Obama's birthday.

To me, this movement is an encouraging indicator of just how "tuned in" our youth actually are to the political scene these days. It portends of a new day in American politics and may even offer hope of real change for the future of our nation. It is in line but also quite aside from what Barak Obama's campaign offers. Real change? Yes, we can!

Perhaps the origin of the mythical Unicorn has been demonstrated. A Roe deer in a nature park in Italy was born with a genetic defect in which only one horn grew from the middle of his head.

Take just such an anomaly, show it to a pre-civilized group of hunter-gatherers, and think….what would they have thought? Ahhh...Magick!

Assault With a Deadly Hedgehog!?!

What I want to know is who's looking out for the rights of the hedgehog!

A New Zealand man accused of assault with prickly weapon — a hedgehog — has been fined by a court and ordered to pay most of his fine to his teenage victim. Whakatane District Court was told Thursday that William Singalargh picked up the hedgehog and threw it several yards to hit a 15-year-old boy in the North Island east coast town of Whakatane on Feb. 9.

Police told the court the creature had hit the victim in the leg, causing a large, red welt and several puncture marks. The teen did not need medical treatment.

The phenomenon is known as street lamp interference, or SLI, and it possibly is a psychic event that is just beginning to be recognized and studied. Like most phenomena of this type, the evidence is almost exclusively anecdotal. I have received several stories like the one above from readers.

Typically, a person who has this effect on streetlights - also known as a SLIder - finds that the light switches on or off when he or she walks or drives beneath it. Obviously, this could happen occasionally by chance with a faulty streetlight (you've probably noticed that it's happened to you once in a while), but SLIders claim that it happens to them on a regular basis. It doesn't happen every time with every streetlight, but it occurs often enough to make these people suspect that something unusual is going on.

Seriously, I own 4 snakes. Ra, my 5 foot boa, when placed around my neck, really does an awesome job of loosening those tight neck muscles! You really ought to try it. (Oh...but make sure the serpent can't wrap all the way around your throat in the process, K?)
